Brussels Card – offering even more in 2009!
Do you want to get to know our capital and its museums better? Do you want to avoid the hassle of paying for travel and admission charges? Then the Brussels Card is just the ticket! The Brussels Card – over 11,000 of which were sold last year – is a “passport” that grants you free entry to Brussels’ leading museums for a period of 24, 48 or 72 hours. It also entitles you to a wide range of attractive discounts in the capital’s restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. Cardholders can also enjoy free public transport while their card is valid.
New in 2009
From January this year, having a Brussels Card offers even more great benefits.
Five new venues have been added to the long list of museums you can enter free (making a total of 30): the Porte de Hal, which has recently been superbly renovated; Wiels, Brussels’ centre for contemporary art; all temporary exhibitions at the Botanique; the Bibliotheca Wittockiana and the must-see Magritte Museum (opening on 2nd June 2009). The two major exhibitions to be hosted at Bozar at the end of the year as part of Europalia China are also free to those holding a Brussels Card.
There are also more discounts available to Brussels Card holders, including 25% off drinks at the legendary La Fleur en Papier Doré café. Restaurants Au Stekerlapatte and L’Arrière-Pays offer a free glass of kir as an aperitif, while the second beer is free at La Brouetteand La Rose Blanchein the Grand Place. If you want to discover Brussels by bike, just show your Brussels Card to get 25% off Brussels Bike Tours. There is also a 40% reduction on the price of enjoying the panoramic views of the Koekelberg Basilica.

25 Years of Connecting the Dots; the Oslo Pass Celebrates 25 Successful Years!
The Oslo Pass was launched in 1984 as one of the very first city cards in Europe and today, while more than 40 European cities provide diverse types of city cards, few can offer their visitors a product as simple and comprehensive as the Oslo Pass.
Oslo has only one city card. Abiding by its slogan “Save Time and Money”, it offers free entrance to 35 museums, free public transport (train, bus, metro, tram and ferries), free parking in municipal car parks all over the city, free sightseeing tours, free entry to swimming pools and special offers in restaurants, shops, and entertainment and leisure venues.
“The Oslo Pass is a great success, and it gives us new sales records almost every year,” says Oslo Pass Manager Stefanie Tuma of VisitOSLO. “The simplicity of the product combined with the unique cooperation between the contributors also makes the future very bright for our tourism industry—as well as the tourists who enjoy the benefits!”
The easiest and most cost-effective way to experience Oslo, the Oslo Pass allows you to devote your entire trip to having fun without the hassle of booking and buying!
You decide whether you want your card to be valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours. The card is valid from the time you stamp it for the number of hours indicated on it. Together with the Oslo Pass, you receive a booklet that describes all the benefits enjoyed by Oslo Pass-holders. Oslo Passes for children (from 4 to 15 years old) are available at special reduced rates.
And why not save time and money by buying your Oslo Pass on www.visitoslo.com?
